F1 reports rise in TV audience as 108m watch Abu Dhabi finale

After seeing the COVID-19 pandemic severely impact its 2020 calendar, F1 delivered a record-breaking 22-race schedule in 2021 as Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton’s title battle went down to the very last lap of the season.

F1 revealed its 2021 audience figures on Thursday, with the cumulative TV audience of 1.55 billion was 4% up on the same figure for 2020, and the number of unique viewers was 445m, up 3% year-on-year.
